Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Dineraffic (“we”, “us”) provides footfall forecasting for restaurants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name and email when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google.
  • Restaurant information — details you provide during setup: restaurant name, cuisine, address, service hours, goals, and alert preferences.
  • Point-of-sale data — if you connect Square, we access your sales and order data (covers and revenue) on a read-only basis to calculate forecasts and measure campaign lift. We store aggregated daily figures and an encrypted access token; we do not store individual customer or transaction details.
  • Billing information — when you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number; we retain only a Stripe customer and subscription reference and your plan status.
  • Technical data — the minimal data needed to operate the service, such as a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To generate footfall forecasts and insights for your restaurant.
  • To send transactional email — email verification, password resets, and any alerts you enable.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the service.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run Dineraffic, and only as needed to do so:

  • Google — sign-in (OAuth).
  • Square — point-of-sale connection, when you choose to link it.
  • Stripe — subscription payments.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Neon — database hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and sessions

We use a single secure, http-only session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention

We retain your account and restaurant data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account; deleting your account also cancels any active subscription. You can also email us to request deletion (see Contact below).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed — never in plain text — and access is protected with signed session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

Dineraffic is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
